All I can say is ... please don't tell me how to behave here. What's wrong with debating/arguing/discussing technical information here ... really? If you don't like what I post, then please skip over it or put me on ignore. If you have something constructive to add to any technical discussion, or want to "argue" your technical inputs with information that backs up you argued claims, then please do that and not try to be a moderator.

I've been posting technical info here and "debating/arguing" (whatever you want to call it) about technical topics here for over 10 years ... I don't need to "think about" how I present technical info or how to debate about technical subjects. Might as well just make this site a Wiki page where nobody can debate technical subjects, or anything at all, because someone might not like how someone posts. If you don't like my posts, report it to the Mods. Hey, why'd you get banned? ... "I posted too much technical information on a chat board that talks about technical stuff". 
Both of these long technical threads about filter efficiency have pretty much been technical debates and not going into personal attacks - threads get locked, deleted and people warned and possibly banned when that goes too far as you know. You're a good guy too, but maybe think twice about going down a rabbit hole like this.

I know how I get at times too. I certainly have struggled with how I present or say things at times. I have messed up a number of times. Absolutely true. No doubt.
I enjoy many, many of your posts. I have learned a lot from your really good posts on here.
You made me laugh big time on here about that one post where Judas Priest was brought up me and I think you linked the video to that song Breaking the Law by Judas Priest… That was amazingly funny.

Friends…. Good friends did that a lot with me. To help me see things in a different way. .
I still need that at times… No doubt.
Though I will do that too for others that I truly respect and genuinely like.

I do wonder if the 25 micron data on the website is more current than the 46 micron data on the spec sheets. Let us know how it goes contacting them!
I sent them email, will see if they respond. I said that I bought PBL14610 and would like to know if its 99% @ 25 microns

I think that DN3 and Zee0six and Fantastic and BrendanC and others all have made some very, very good post on here…
I like and want a high eff oil filter and air filter. Prevention beats the cure by a mile here.
And like Zee0six and others have stated and it without it is true… 20 to 10 micron particles cause the most wear in a motor. That’s why being 99 oercent at 20 microns does help a whole lot.
That’s my opinion of that. And I certainly agree that the oil filter not having a major failure is the highest priority overall.
Air filter filtration is the same way. A STP red high performance air filter is way, way more efficient than the standard STP air filter. So it would be best to get the higher per air filter for the same exact reason.

Like I mentioned someplace, there not nearly the talk and dissection of air filter efficiency in the Air Filter forum like there is here about oil filters. You would think there would be more focus on that by members always throwing out the standard "the air filter is the most important filter". I've found that's it's even harder to find ISO 5506 efficiency specs on air filters, and then you have to see it they say the ISO test was done with fine or course test dust. When I bought a Fram Ultra air filter a few years ago, I had to email Fram to get the efficiency test details.
Ok, They will then have to admit that information on Purolator website is wrong. If its true, its false advertising.
As post 159 shows, their claimed ISO 4548-12 efficiency for the PBL3001 on the website and the official spec sheet efficiency do not match.
99% @ 25u on the website.
99% at >46u on the spec sheet.

^^^ Go read this thread for the real way to test filter efficiency. Same Boss model BR tested didn't rank well.
