Hello and off of a co workers 2010 Chevy Silverado with the 4.3 v-6. Truck has 90,xxx miles on it. Whatever conventional or blend and this filter. Put some Valvoline Synpower and a tough guard and going for 5-6k this time. Looks like it held up ok

I think I'd be recommending an oversized filter to your CW. Looks like a lot of crud from an engine with only 90k something miles.
I don't think I would be recommending oversizing since I like to use what manufacturer recommends
Nah, he's on ignore for a good reason
I've cut a bunch of them open and never saw any dirt whatsoever in any of them. This is the first picture I've seen that had any dirt. With that little bit of dirt after 7K miles it make me wonder why we ever need to change an oil filter.
Yeah car 51 has me on ignore because he thinks i am the one that got him suspended here on Bitog last week with all his "commentary" but the fact is i did not report him and i tried to tell him that in a pm but he again has me on ignore, i don't know why because he flip flops back and forth reading my posts anyway. It's kind of hilarious if you think about it..I don't know if anyone here reported his outbursts i think a moderator may have seen it and flagged him. Just for the record 51 i don't report anyone i try to keep this a nice place and post with respect.. I don't want to fight with you this is a family site.
