I have used them in the past. Like your girlfriend I got them at a great price and used them up.
I still remember the FRAM HM with the black “goop” that slowly released from filter into engine.

Yes sir! Blast from the past. They tried the whole high mileage oil filter additives too as you well know. That shrink wrap helped to preserve those really well but still would love to hear your thoughts on the ADBV bend test unless you plan to use them first? Kuddo's to the G/F for having a good eye on a historic piece. The Honeywell days. I must say this brand has been passed around the table. At least your not running a new Ultra.

I'd pass on the Teflon. If Teflon belonged in the engine, all the major oil companies would use it.
I remember running these, and the high mileage filter with the nugget inside on my 280ZXT

The 2001 on the box is just the copyright of the box design and everything is says on the box. The filter has a date code of 86th day of 2004 like the one also in your other thread.

Since mentioned, the HM "goop basket" was promoted as mitigating total acid number, TAN. It was said to have been derived from the long haul diesel industry. However, their ocis much longer than 5k miles for which the orange can rated at the time. The HM was removed from the shelves at WM, then showed up at RA to close out ~2017-18. Unlike the topic DG, doubtful it did any harm, but no benefit either.
As for topic 3614, in my observation of application anecdotes, pleat spacing on them not noted for being the best. Looking at the virgin DG c&p relatively speaking didn't look that bad. That said, fwiw understand not wanting to use the other DG.
Yeah, my old co worker that I have breakfast with on Fridays still; he uses those FRAM HM in his 09’ Silverado with 4.3. Don’t know why
