Well, @2stroketriple sent me his filters, but they didn’t take the ride very well, 3 had minor dents, 1 got blasted! But, my loss is everyone’s gain…

(Fram) Defense DL9688 cut open

These were bought from Fleet Farm (receipt was in one of the boxes), and the good news is they are EXACTLY the same as an Extra Guard/PH series Fram, made in the Fram plant in Perrysburg, OH, with a nitrile ADBV (as shown by the burn test). Can is plenty strong, paint could be better, but not bad for a jobber special filter.

Get yourself some money back-they beat it pretty hard! I don’t need anything, the 4 will work fine, and my brother’s Accord will be lucky to make it that far. They are good filters, though, the can actually seems pretty strong, better than an Ultra, my filter cutter wouldn’t cut it, took sheet metal shears.

You’re right, two of them do-and they’re 2 of the UNDAMAGED ones! PM me if you want pictures of the box, I kept it, along with your receipt from when you bought them, might be able to get the shipping cost back (if you do, you can keep it).
No, I’m not burning the silicone ones until after they’re used! These Defenses must be pre First Brands ownership, they’re skimping on higher end ones now.
