FP3000 has been out a while now, but I haven't seen many people post their experiences on the boards. If you have used it, what are your experiences, and how do you like it compared to FP60? Are you actually get MPG gains from it? Any other experiences would be appreciated.

I've run FP 3000 for a while, and I don't notice anything.

In all fairness, the cars all run very well, since I always use Redline or Techron injector cleaner....so there's not much room for improvement.

I've used it for a couple thousand city miles in a V6 Avalon. No mileage change, just the same smooth operation and performance like FP60 delivered.

Did FP60 improve your gas mileage any?

I don't notice much difference from the FP60 actually. Both cars and the motorcycles run very good on it. I like the smaller treatment rate.

I have been using FP3000 since the first batch (was a FP60 user before along with Lucas) My personal vehicles as well as my work trucks and vans run better than new....some with hundreds of thousands of miles on them.

Can't say for sure it is the FP and LC products, but for the relatively low cost I will keep on using them. MPG rose slightly with FP3000 over FP60.

That's the kind of information I was hoping for. The MPG gain was supposed to be the best reason to use it. I don't know how the cleaning and lubing properties are compared to FP60. It's definitely thinner, but I haven't seen a breakdown of all the benefits.

Not really. Too much city driving to make an accurate assessment. Sure the numbers changed, but so did the number of minutes trapped in construction gridlock. Highway numbers showed 1-2 mpg better than running with no additive.

In my normal gas (Shell V-power 91) I didn't notice any mileage improvement from FP60. I'm not sure if it's making more of a difference in other brands. Right now Esso 91/92 gets MUCH better fuel ecomony than V-power. I could be looking at a V-power+FP60 does nothing, Esso is better and Esso+FP60 is much better type of scenario. I've currently written about this in another thread in this forum. The difference in fuel economy is NOT subtle but very pronounced.

I continue to use FP60 for the cleaning aspects, if nothing else. I didn't buy it expecting for it to pay for itself but if it results in better engine condition and cleaner operation that's fine with me. I ordered some FP3000 from that limited run. It is darker red, thinner and treats twice as much gasoline for the same amount of FP. It smells similar but yet different. I haven't run it yet.

Yeah, I got a couple of gallons recently, but have only run it in one tankful. That tank seemed to be an improvement over the previous, but one run doesn't mean much.

I've been running it off and on. Sorry, I don't have even very scientific comparison for you. I fill up when gas is cheap and usually don't get it in my tank until I get home, usually 75 miles later, plus I forget to write it down. I can say I've seen around a 2 mpg objective improvement per tank.

I tried FP/LC and i don't plan on getting more...costs too much. I am happy with regane, techron, and redline prodcts... If i wanted something for every fill up, i would use MMO or lucas.

Update:

In the 2005 Subaru Outback other drivers have commented on how smooth it is.

I drove the Outback to Denver and back and saw 33.3 mpg of the Vail to Denver leg, and 30.9 mpg on the 320 mile total drive Vail to Denver to Vail, including two trips to the airport and errands around town.

Car has Elf Excellium 0W-30 and FP3000. I think they both deserve credit for the smooth operation.

Running FP3000 at the 1 oz / 10 gallons.

Lucas is about $21+ per gallon with a treatment rate of 2-3 oz per 10 gallons of gas. FP3000's treatment rate is 1 ounce per 10 gallons...so additional cost of FP should not be a factor in your decison.
