Yeah my grandfather's 96' is an SE with no tac, but has carpet. Has no rear wiper, doesn't even have rear speakers. Doesn't have power windows or door locks or a center console. No "Power/Comfort" transmission switch or a rear defroster. It was a fleet vehicle for the state.

It's tough to find ANY Cherokee without carpet.

The "power" switch disappeared in the early 90's.

The power/comfort switch went along with the Renix system. Once Chrysler took over manufacturing, they got rid of Renix (definitely a good thing) and the power/comfort switch. All 91+ AW-4s are in "power" mode all the time.

I don't think it's 91+, my brother's 1991 Cherokee has a Power/Comfort switch.

Yup. Looks like it went away after 1991. Thought it was a Renix only thing.

92 and up are permanently "power" mode.
