About three years ago, I purchased a Forney Easy Weld 251 20 P Plasma Cutter, at a deep clearance discount (about $240), at Tractor Supply.

The plasma cutter is still in the box, made the purchase because of the price.

What the heck does a plasma cutter do?

Used by serious autobody guys and artists around the world for cutting sheet metal. Also works on heavy guage metals but process takes longer.

A plasma essentially uses ionized air to cut steel. They've also found ways to cut other materials that are not metal but I've researched that zero.

It's a hand-held Etch-A-Sketch for metal. Very versatile, good access to the work, and will show every tiny bobble in your cut. A fence is mandatory if you wanna cut a straight line.

Consumables like tips, electrodes and nozzles can be very costly if cutting a lot and/or using poor technique.

TL;DR: it's a fancy O/A torch (with the benefit of being able to reasonably cut aluminum)
