I've seen the red bottle of Shell HM at a gas station and they look awesome.

I wonder if Walmart will ever carry the 5 quart jug of Formula Shell.

How much do the white Formula Shell bottles go for? I was just at Menards and they had them for $1.79/qt.

This is OLD news, from July 2003.

Where I live, the "WPP" molded onto the bottles' bottom has been replaced with a "G". This may be purely a regional expedient, but my best guess is that whatever the content, it didn't come out of a Warren Performance Products blending plant. This is also true of SuperTech silver bottle "Full Synthetic". Late last year someone posted that it was his belief that the 5-qt. jugs of SuperTech had gone to an identical shape "Plastipak" jug that was previously only associated with Pennzoil and Quaker State motor oils in 5-qt jugs. I confirmed that locally, too, and further noted that the alpha-numeric date/production code configuration on the bottom of the new SuperTech jugs was identical with that imprinted on Quaker State and Pennzoil jugs too, which is why I suspect that at least some current quart bottle SuperTech product is coming out of a SOPUS spiggot. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...

(I bet Johnny could shed some light on this.

Twas I that noted the plastipak jugs a la SOPUS bottles. The "G" bottles are made by Graham Packaging, which also makes bottles for SOPUS but for other big names as well. WPP makes their own so I'd bet the Graham "G" bottles are SOPUS as well.

If yours in King Arnold's Castle are now represented by SOPUS, then I need another look at my Walmart here in Michigan.... otherwise known as Queen Jenny Fortress...lol
