Vehicle: 2018 f150 w/ gen 3 Coyote with almost 82k miles.
For the last year it has had a low rpm misfire with no codes that always cleared up around 2k rpm's. During the winter it runs perfect but once warmed up with the engine hot and heat soaked the misfire was there.
Watching live data everything looked fine so I replaced my spark plugs and it runs like new. Once I took the first one out I knew the truck would run better.
Motorcraft SP-589, takes an hour and cost 4.21 ea from RA.
So, change those plugs around 70k would be my suggestion.

That is a good suggestion on many modern high compression engines, and boosted engines. Especially if you run regular fuel in an engine that benefits from premium, as you might see occasional detonation that can crack the insulator. The 5.0 is one of those engines. Runs well on regular due to excellent tuning, a 12 to 1 compression ratio and both direct and port injection. But don't be fooled, the plugs do pay a price.

Well, I wouldent say they are cheap. The sp589 are just regular copper core spark plugs @ 4.21 each they should be about 1.-50 - 2.00. Nothing any different than a lawnmower plug except they are longer. Really, they are nothing special.
