Hello,
Just curious if anyone else has seen this. Yesterday, while driving into town, I noticed two orange lights lit up. One for ABS, and the other for Traction Control. Both came on at the same time, and both went out together about three miles of driving, never to return as of yet.
Thank you,
2003 Ford Focus ZX3, 5speed manual, 156k miles.

When I changed the battery in my Fiesta the same 2 lights came on but they went out by the time I got to the end of the driveway and have not come back, that was 2 years ago.

Had the same intermittent issue on my 2015 Focus. It was a damaged wire leading to the front right wheel speed sensor.
Thank you. I had two wheel bearings replaced on the rear. I will have them check the speed sensors. Thnx

Both lights rely on data from the wheel speed sensors. Of all the inputs to the ABS/Trac computer, these are also the most exposed-- the wires are out there on the suspension going to the wheel hubs.
I had that issue before when a wheel bearing went bad and almost came off. I will have all 4 wheels checked. Thanks for the great advice.

My Jetta had the ABS light on for quite a while. The VW experts in North Las Vegas told me I needed an $800+ part replaced behind the steering wheel. I went elsewhere and got the struts, control arm bushing, sway bar bushing and tie rods replaced and the light went out. That clunking noise in the right front also stopped. The wear was very visible. I expect more of someone who claims TDI guru status.
