Ford duratec 2.5l in '23 Maverick hybrid (Ford WSS-M2C962-A1)

About 6 months ago I was able to get the Motorcraft 0W-20 Full Syn on Amazon for $31.13 (5qt) on a subscribe and save. Also a decent $8 deal on qts. That price is now up 25%. Glad I bought two changes worth.
I personally do not trust Amazon (or Amazon sellers, really) for selling genuine items, oil being one of them. I gladly paid the extra $5 tbh to get from a reputable source. Not worth the worry IMO.

FWIW I paid $30.79 from RockAuto, shipping of course but I needed spark plugs for my wife's Prius and they were $10 less on RockAuto for the same items, shipping was $10 so it was a wash.

Downsides? Yes. I wouldn't use either MC 0-20 or the MC 910s filter. See my post on my latest OC in my 2017 Fusion I posted today especially about the filter.
I've seen some similar issues with glue on the Motorcraft filters on Youtube. It is a little concerning. What quality filter would you recommend in its place? The MC has a silicone anti flow back seal that most use a downgraded nitrite one.

Fram Endurance is good, you can also go upto the 3600 size Fram on most cars that spec the 3614(fl910) that's what I do on my dad's 2.5L Escape.

Although if you want something a little cheaper the Fram extra guard or tough guard is a good option, I've never had any problems with the paper end caps, also extended life Premium Guard filters (and all the parts store brand filters sourced from the same factories). Just on the Extra guard check and make sure the drainback valve is actually silicone, I think the pandemic shortages are over and they've went back to normal but double check.

I'm so sad that you live in fear of a fake bottle of oil. 😟😟
I consider Rock Auto to be shaddy myself. My opinion

I used the NAPA Gold filter. Cut aways seem to be fine.

I forgot to add one more thing. On one of the Ford Maverick forums, there was a ‘22 Maverick Hybrid owner from Virginia.

Back in January, he posted that he had already racked up 103,000 miles on his truck. His oil change intervals were every 10,000 miles. Used Mobil 1 OW20 AFE
and most recently posted a UOA using the new Mobil 1 OW20 Hybrid oil bought at Walmart. No noticeable loss of oil during those intervals. I have no idea how many miles are on that truck now.

Impressive mileage for a short time period. Like I said, you are doing something stupid if you prematurely kill this engine.
