Stevie, you live downstream from LOVE CANAL , I don't think you can say there is "nothing" in your water ....

After the filtration and the R.O. unit I know there is nothing in the water. I have a test from the local lab to prove it.

Go poke the bees nest somewhere else.

Better and more abundant High Fructose Corn Syrup ...

There's always balance to the universe..

(reminds me of an episode of "SOAP" where some German guy says, In Germany we have no illiteracy ..no impotence ..and the dummy finishes "No [fill in the blank for those who remember]"

Kevin Trudeau is a fraud and has been in trouble with the FDA and other government agency for a long time. I think there is still a warrant out for his arrest.

To anybody who takes this kind of stuff seriously: get out and live your life. Stop worrying. Death comes to us all.

With my dial up, I won't see that U-Tube video.
But somehow your perspective seems more than appropriate.

I grew up with fluoride water to the age of 12. Mouth full of amalgam.

My children have grown up with no fluoride in the water, and no cavities, except my daughter had one in a baby incisor that was slow to descend due to dummy chewing. Once it was clear of the gum, that enamelled over, and is now gone...low fluoride toothpaste, and topical dentist treatments seem to be doing the job...and prolly not walking around with a bottle of soft drink all day too.

yes if it's within acceptable limits.

So would you add it to a town's drinking water supply when it's not there already ?

For it's theraputic (and therefore medicinal) benefits ?

last time i checked arsenic has none of those so what would be the point of dosing arsenic? flouride has been shown to work.

It's a TOPICAL treatment. Ingesting it makes no sense at all.

Do you advocate adding vit C, selenium etc to water ?

If no, then why fluoride ?

BTW for arsenic, you might want to check again.

Interestingly enough, arsenic has been shown to be an essential nutrient for many animal species and may be essential to humans (in very small amounts) as well.

it's a pointless argument... i'm done.

it works, and the benefits exceedingly outweigh the risks, just like the benefits of having a car outweighs the risk of dying from an accident.

I think we need to add a "conspiracy/hypochondria/general paranoia" section to the site. There seems to be a great deal of active and interesting discussion in both the food and general/OT sections. These sort of posts need a home.

How's not wanting stuff (any stuff) added to your water paranoia ?

Would you be happy with me medicating you family ?

Seasoning your food ?

No opt out clause rather than an opt in ?
