I have heard about this years ago. It is no wonder their are so many types of cancers and sickness in N/A. But, the govt what is best for us...

My parents are on well water and when I was living there my mom who normally couldn't drink municipal water because she would get all kinds of sores in her mouth could drink the well water no problem.

We assumed it was the Chlorine but maybe it was the flouride?!?

Anyways... Since then I don't drink anything but R.O. water now from a spring or well source.

I can't get that in my apartment so I have a carbon, ceramic, U.V. light and then R.O. unit hooked up to my water supply.

It was expensive but its stories like this that make me glad I have all this stuff.

My skin is even softer and I noticed my hair is a nicer texture from drinking this water than from drinking the old stuff. I know it sounds crazy but its true.

Is that book anygood? I always wanted to buy it but never could bring myself to it because I thought the guy was a quack.

I also don't use flouride toothpaste and I also use tea-tree oil shampoo and natural deodorants versus one that have aluminum in them.

My problem with flouride is that if it's a medical treatment, then surely there's a correct dose.

They are introducing it into our town water, to combat a huge under 5 tooth decay problem.

My children (who drink mostly water) are liable to an infinitely higher "dose" than the average town 3 year old wandering around with a pint of cola.

What a bunch of [censored]. My apologies to Dr. Nutjob and her legions of brainwashed, sandal-clad, vegan, paleo-eating, and hypochondriac followers. You can find some newage holistic, eastern, chipotle, [insert trendy catchphrase here] doctor to claim that any number of scientific advancements are horrible and cancer-causing.

To anybody who takes this kind of stuff seriously: get out and live your life. Stop worrying. Death comes to us all.

I thought that antiperspirants had the aluminium and normal deodorants did not contain aluminium. Anyway, now we have BPA to worry about.

Hi all,

The scene where the doctor mentions that in the UK fluoride is not added to drinking water made me laugh out loud. Please read this article on the further decaying state of the British's teeth.

I quote:
Quote:
A survey by Mori for the Citizens Advice Bureau this week found that seven and a half million Britons have failed to gain access to an NHS dentist in the past two years. In one quarter of the country, no NHS dentists are allowing new patients to join their lists. And despite government targets that every child should have his teeth seen by an expert every year, more than one in three children never see an NHS dentist.

Could it be that because the British tend to neglect dentist visits, they are simply not encouraged to use fluoridated dental products? Whenever I see my dentist, he asks me to use a fluoride mouthwash in addition to fluoridated toothpaste.

Cheers,
-J

And what is wrong with wanting to know what we put in our bodies are not hurting us and worse still, our children.

Hi Autobahn88,

Antiperspirants, which reduce the amount of sweating, commonly contain aluminum compounds. It has not been proven that these compounds are causing health issues. The aluminum in these products is chemically bound to other chemicals, which should prevent the absorption of aluminum. Aluminum salts are a skin irritant and sensitivity varies.

Deoderants simply mask odors. There are of course many Antiperspirant/deoderant combination products. Read the label on the product to see compounds you may want to avoid.

A tip for those who want to use a natural deodorant but shy the expense of a deodorant crystal. For much less money you can buy the same product in soap bar shape. Google "alum block." An aluminum sulfate bar has multiple uses.

Cheers,

Sounds like a silently screaming political statement to me.

Fluoride is a highly toxic substance, look it up sometime. Also, get the book called "The Fluoride Deception" All you people who think this all crazy talk, might think differently after you read this book. And yes, I do have a copy of it and I have read it.

The story I heard (book cited) was (as totally whacked as this sounded) Florine was a waste product that someone needed to find a purpose for.

The way it sounded was as though some buffoon just pulled it out of his behind "Let's put it in the water!!" ..and that's what happened to it.

Now ..what processes produce Florine as a waste product ..and, in spite of its suitability as a dental decay countermeasure, why would some water supply version of CHUD be a suggested remedy?

I liked the commercial where they claimed there product does not contain any chemicals.

I wonder why there product then does not come inside a vacuum chamber, as a vacuum would be the only product to not contain any chemicals.

My father is a chemist who spent almost 20 years in a laboratory testing water for and establishing standards to ensure accurate measurements of "safe" and "unsafe" levels of practically every chemical that can be found in water. My mother is a biologist. I have heard many thousands of hours of expert conversation on this topic. I don't need to read any quackery. Fluoride is safe in low levels. That's the facts.

It might be ALL about the amount be it in PPM or what ever ratio, depending on what you are talking about. Too much salt can kill you. Also too little. Too much water or too little will also kill you. Too much Oxygen, or too little is also not good for you.

Lets ban Dihydrogen monoxide because if a child inhales a few ounces of it it can kill them, and it causes millions of dollars of damage to our vehicles, buildings, and roads every year.
