I couldn't find any good flow rate data on the newer Mobil 1 Extended Performance filter. Mobil claims the synthetic-blend filter media is a better filter while not restricting flow as much as cellulose-only filters. I'm looking for something that performs as well as the Amsoil filters that I can pick up at an autoparts store.
Some other posts have indicated the positive displacement nature of oil pumps do overcome some overly-restrictive filter problems. I would assume the Mobil 1 Extended Performance filter would flow easier at startup better than the high-resistance Puro PureOne filter we hear about.
