My wife and I will be driving to Gainsville, Fl.leaving about 8 am tomorrow having Thanksgiving with my sons family. We are taking the Fusion which is the first long trip for this car since buying it in Aug. Some may remember my old Merc GM with 18 such trips under the hood. I did check out the Fusion this week, typical stuff. Tire pressure, oil level, changed the transmission fluid over to M1 with a double drain and fill, vaccum the interior, and a general once over for the whole car. Plan to stay in Macon, Ga. tomorrow night and return back home a week from Tuesday. I won't be posting but will be looking and lurking. Happy Thanksgiving to all. We are of all people most blessed.

Be very careful when passing through Caroline County, VA. It is tiny boonies town running along I-95, US17, and US301. Although situated in perfect location, this stupid town decide against normal business expansive and relies exclusively on traffic ticket as a sole revenue. Backwards cops actually love out-of-towners and their tickets usually have about 5-20 mph higher than actual traveled speed. The usually number is 72 or 74 mph over the 55 limit for US301 and US17 traffic and 80 mph over 65 for the I-95 crowds.

The trick is to stay in the middle lane and let a few cars behind you so they can't pull you over.

I will be traveling from Illinois so will not see Va.
but thanks for the tip.
Three months ago I got burned in a little town in Missouri. Foley is a speed trap.
