FL-836 vs FL-839

I accidentally bought several Motorcraft FL-839 filters instead of FL-836.
The gasket sizes and thread aizes are identical.
The FL-839 is longer but there is enough clearance to work.
The FL-836 says it has a bypass valve setting of 8-11 PSI while the FL-839 has 'none' listed.

Would it be okay to use the FL-839?

This is for a Kawasaki FD750D engine in a SImplicity tractor.

Don't use the PL-839 if there is no bypass valve in the filter when your engine specifies a bypass valve.

Take them back and get the right filter.
