Wife was wanting a newer vehicle with 3 rows to carry kids around in, and had been driving her 08 CRV since 2012. Since my Mazda was wrecked the CRV will be my DD and she'll be driving the Pilot. Wife was already fond of Honda's and I've been impressed with how her CRV was built with ease of maintenance in mind, so the Pilot seemed like an obvious choice. Plus I wanted a NA V6 non-hybrid so I can more confidently DIY repairs in the future.
Originally planned to get a White elite with brown interior, but when she saw the new Ash Green color and brown interior on the Trailsports for 2026 that's what we decided we wanted to go for. Made a deal with local dealer and put down a deposit. Three months later the car arrived and I surprised her with it (I'd been stringing her along telling her I'd get one when one showed up locally).
First new vehicle I've purchased. Hope its a good one. Put the first coat of Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Coating on it this evening.
