Finished my AUTO-RX, when to re-appy?

Just finished my RX treatment..all is good and clean... My rinse phase is also over and I now switched to Esso XD-3 Synthetic oil and I am also using LC.

SO my question is, when should I reapply with Auto-Rx??

I think if you use a good synthetic oil and LC you shouldn't have to re appply for another 50k-75k.

I would use 2 to 3 Oz. per oil change.

A synth with a reasonable OCI = NEVER
A synth + LC = NEVER
A synth + maintenance dose = Never

If no LC/neutra, if unreasonable OCI, if no maintenance dose, if no synthetic, then you'll probably need it sooner then never

I Auto-rx my car every 15,000 miles. I want to prevent any problems.

Run maint dose with each OCI and you'll be fine. Oil stays clean longer I noticed

..but if I add the maintenance dose, then there is no need for LC?..I'm planning OCI every 8,000 miles.

Do you guys use LC or the maintenance dosage of RX?

Little side benefit of running ARX maintenance dose is that it actually enhances lubricity. Some of the components in ARX are actually used as friction reducers in industry.

Says it all...

Id personally go the LC route.

Id like to go LC + RX but need data before doing that.

I did put LC and RX into my BMW... to see the results next UOA (the BMW had an RX procedure done some time back, was before and still is perfectly clean, and runs well).

I'd do LC instead of RX for maintenence dosing, your engine is already clean, LC keeps it that way and it's cheaper.
