I have a 1984 cb650SC I bought in 1998 and the only problem I can directly relate to age is the turns signals have a plastic or rubber like spacer between the chromed part and the mount on the motorcycle and they became brittle and all broke one summer about4 years ago, other than that as far as I know all the fuel vacuum and brake lines are original. I have put on one set of front brake pads and changed brake fluid, rear drive lube, spark plugs, and other routine maintenance. Don't used electric vests or gloves on older bikes because the stators/electrical system are not rated for them(don't ask me how I know). It is a great ride, quick, sporty and rated at 430 pounds or so dry so unlike my Goldwing you don't feel like an aircragt carrier on maneuvers.

Another one sold- two guys got there ahead of my brother, & one of 'em paid cash tonight.

You're really trying to put me off the Honda 450, aren't you? Well, it ain't gonna work, not even the fact that Prince(yeesh!) once rode one can drive me away. Close though!

LOL! no, not trying to put you off...

All of the 450s (440 for the Kawasaki and 400 for the Yamaha)from that era are very durable bikes.

They're all a little buzzy. To me, the 6 valve Honda was the least buzzy, the 4 valve Kawi and Suzuki were sportiest(relative to the other two) and the XJ400 Maxim and XJ400 Seca were the best looking. Especially the baby Seca. Looks like a little 550 Vision without the awesome liquid cooled V-twin

Oh and I checked. Prince is 5'2"
