I finally found Hoppes Elite at the local Wal-Mart store. I needed some fresh gun cleaning supplies. I was surprised to find the stuff-never have seen it anywhere else.

I am sure that it is probably the same as MPro7 stuff.

The cleaner did a great job cleaning my gun barrel. The barrel seemed to get cleaner much sooner.

And the oil really seems to make my slide work smoother.

I am totally convinced that MPro7 and Hoppes Elite are the best cleaning and lubrication products available for guns.

IMHO, MC25 from Milcomm is a better cleaner than Mpro or HE (which are good). Some say Slip 2000 carbon cutter is better than MC25, but I have never used it.

You'd be hard pressed to get a better lube than FP10. It makes for a great CLP, too.

All I know is that Hoppes Elite gun oil is the best gun oil that I have found. I can literally feel the slife work smoother. And the Hoppes Elite cleaner cleans the gun barrel quickly. The only problem is the spray does not work long. The better cleaner rather than the spray is the jell, which lasts longer.

So are MPro7 and Hoppes Elite one & the same???

Is the cold temperature rating for Hoppes Elite gun oil for use on bolt/plunger-actions the same or better than Breakfree CLP?

From what I have been able to find out and also judging from the performance of the Hoppes Elite products I would say that the Hoppes Elite products are the same as the MPro7 products. I did a little research on the internet and from what I was able to find out there they are the same. Plus the products certainly perform exactly the same.

The Hoppes Elite gun oil should be able to flow in fairly cold temperatures since the oil is supposed to be synthetic.
