Yes I know what I'm talking about . I cut it open last week....
The thing looked like it was about to collapse...

Not "pretty" but that filter is fine. Looks like it saw some winter use or short trips with those waves. Very common in just about any brand.

Time for it to be changed though 10k is about the max suggested for that model and the media does look pretty well saturated.

Isnt this the Amsoil 1 year 10k filter?

It was explained to you why the filter looked the way it did. Plus it was also said that 10k was the max it should be ran. All of those variables combined made it look the way it did.

Dont blame the filter in this situation.

Local o'reillys or whomever carries WIX.
The best.

3,000-4,000 miles OCI

I would NEVER change oil every 10,000 miles.

The oil gets dirty and you lose pep in your engine.
If changing the oil 10,000 miles... At least change the filter every so often before that 10k.

So buy a wix here for $7.99 at oreillys that looks like dog doo doo after 10k or a fram ultra for $8.97 that is just getting started at 10k....... Hmmmmm

Really?

Yep. Lol.

Btw. Fram sucks dog poo.

Their bypass valve and innards suck.

Wix, Mobil 1, purolator, Napa gold, K&N are cream of the crop...

Purolator ... "cream of the crop" ... yeah.

Also, there's nothing wrong with the Fram bypass valve design.
