Filter Efficiency: when small differences aren't small

The word "only" was used in the context of not being as good as 99%. I was (obviously) talking solely about the rating at 50 microns since I had already made the point that the OE filters made for Japanese and German vehicles are only nearing 100% efficiency at that micron rating.

I did not mention anything about efficiency ratings at lower micron sizes. It is purely your incorrect interpretation that it was somehow implied.

Regardless, my posts were added info and clarification on how an internal leak effects the filter's efficiency. The way you explained it wasn't clear and needed some clarification. The only way to see the effect of an internal leak is to know what the non-leakage efficiency curve looks like, or at least what the efficiency is at one starting point, like 99% @ 20u like the examples I gave.

Your standard response after misunderstanding someone is that they weren't clear when it was your own need to be seen as the expert that leads you to misinterpret.

It is a pattern that repeats itself many times with you and your responses are entirely predictable.

Amusingly, in this thread, you pointed out spelling errors yet have more than one post with several spelling errors. Probably because you were so eager to be seen as the expert.

Clear enough?

So now your going from a technical discussion to a personal attack? Nice.

The fact is, the way you explained how an internal leak effects the efficiency wasn't very clear or accurate. I clarified how it actually works. You have any more than now just resorting to a personal attack to discuss? Or you got some actual technical info that backs up your claim originally made. Doesn't seem like it since you've gone with the personal attack instead.

And BTW, I simiply pointed out in post 44 that it's "MicroGard" not "MicroGuard" or "Micro Guard". It's a brand name not being used correctly. Just like some people use "Mobile" instead of "Mobil". Stop with the trolling.
