Same as we've heard before - that efficiency increases as the pores are filled. Also mentioned that syn oil is cleaner. He said it was intended for very long OCIs under rugged use, and that it is not intended for normal duty and mfg recommended OCIs.

They really need to make this clear in their marketing.

Hummm ... well, the Fram Ultra is full synthetic media, and rated at 99% @ 20 microns efficiency, and also rated for up to 15,000 miles of use. Smokes the XP IMO.

IMO, right now the Ultra is on the top of all available full synthetic filters on the market for passenger car/truck applications.

The only thing more shocking than the poor 50% at 20 micron performance (Wix rating as I interpret it, and have for years, and it matches up with all their former ratings), is the thought that they now somehow came upon a miracle filter that can now offer 95% at 2um, and last for super long OCIs ... What a bunch of fish poo .... I don't believe that for one sleepless second. That purposterous rating would be about a whisker away from bypass media; in a FF filter for long OCIs? No sir, no way in Hades.

They are clearly not interested in clearing this up. All the more reason for me to enjoy my TGs.
