I can't really tell what I did to "deserve" that treatment, and if you have any suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them for my own enlightenment. I "pegged" you as someone who was fairly knowledgeable about a number of topics that I was interested in, e.g. photography, bicycles, cooking, etc. Last I checked, this site was a pretty good place to go to ask about and learn about a multitude of topics, and you were pretty darn good in showing folks things that they didn't necessarily know much about. However, at this point most all respect I held for you is gone.
But who cares, really? Just continue as normal. Ill go back to my schoolwork and you can go back to correcting peoples' grammar... I'm sure you'll do it on this post first.

I'm not much of a rum person, but when I do drink it, it's almost always Bacardi Limon.

When I was in high school we often drank Coca Cola with rum before, during, and after classes. Now, most of us didn't get drunk, although that one time in gym class, but I digress. Coca Cola actually sold (and still does sell) convenient cans of cola with rum. Theoretically, sale to kids under 16 was prohibited, but anyone who looked over 11 could buy it freely. No brown paper bag was needed either.
Sounds like you grew up in an advanced society! I love the episode of Family Guy that shows Ireland around 300 years ago - it's a super advanced technological society and one guy invents whiskey and the country instantly collapses and everyone's drunk and fighting.

I wouldn't say that. Alas, beer drinking and smoking was, and still is a part of life for many youngsters there. Whenever I go back, it's the smoking that annoys me the most. I would however say that growing up in Germany I enjoyed more personal liberty than I could have in most other places. We were pretty much free to do anything. Maybe that's why there was less crime.
i like castillo spiced,has a nice vanilla backnote.great with ginger ale.
