Is black strap the same as black seal? I tried Goslings black seal and didn't care for the smell and taste.


Which one? Cruzan also has a black strap version.

Part of the reason I like Kraken is its high alcohol content - good for mixing, but not exactly a sipper. That Siesta Key though is a nice sipper.

I take that back. Goslings black seal with Barrett’s ginger beer… pussers dark navy rum, and all sorts of cruzan including their blackstrap. Yes the flavor is different.

I usually go with regular cruzan dark, though sometimes I use light in mixed drinks.
