For PS White DFS, (per the bottle) to achieve maximum effect, 200:1 ratio is used. For 15 gallons, that's ~ 10 fl oz.
And considering that it's not yet even winter and he's in CT, 6 oz/tank (somewhere around 1:320, more than the recommended 1:400 dose) is a huge amount of DFS - in my experience completely unnecessary. My opinion is also that 10 oz/tank of TWC3 is way too much - I top out at about 2oz/tank.
But, it's your money and you may do with it what you wish.

According to his sig, the car in question is a '2000 VW Beetle TDI' which you will get at most 17 gallons into a bone-dry, ventectomized tank. Most fills from when the low fuel light come on will be about 15 gallons. I know this, because I also have one.
I worry not about lubricity (thanks, Illinois B11!) and even untreated-by-me fuel has remained a clear, bright liquid down to -28ºC in my unheated, uninsulated garage. As mentioned above I do put in about 4oz of DFS (PS White) or Howes Diesel Treat when we start getting into single digits. A few ounces of prevention is worth a lot of cursing if your fuel gels.
