This is the original filter off of my 2023 Ford F150 3.5 max tow truck. It’s a work pig on dusty job sites and constantly hauling material and gear. Did the first change at 5k kms or 113 hours of use. Oil life monitor was still showing 67% remaining.

A fram ultra went on with some Mobil 1 afe 0w30.

They have "Ford" and "Motorcraft". I always wondered what niche "FoMoCo" served.

My dad had a 1970 Mercury Monterey with the 400-2V (a lackluster V8) engine). The valve covers were stamped, "Power by Ford".
I thought that was lame.

It is just a different supply chain for the Ford engine plants. Serves as a easy identifier to the dealership tech that they are dealing with an original factory installed filter should someone come in with high mileage and a possible engine warranty issue but never changed their oil and filter.

Years ago, most of the FoMoCo filters were Champion Lab made premium filter that differed from the Purolator they are now. The cans were slightly thicker also because they were installed by mechanical tool means and usually dry on the gaskets. Factory FoMoCo installed filters were notorious to get off at the first oil and filter change because if it.
