Figured I better get new pads and rotors on before it was to late. Fronts had a little life left ;) but I think it was good timing, rears were much better but I changed them anyway. Used EBC extra duty and wagner rotors. As much as I tow I am pretty impressed these brakes would have went over 100k.

That is impressive.

Did you tow with that rig?
I cant imagine you bough that to just putt around in, but some guys do.

That's pretty impressive. I found over the years that the brakes and rotors the vehicle rolled off the line with always lasted longer than anything I ever replaced them with, including some so called top of the line "premium" parts.

YMMV

Those huge trailers have electric brakes too, so it's not that impressive. The OE brakes were sized for fully loaded truck bed, different situation.
Truthfully, I would had gone with Ford OE brake pads. I don't trust too much the Europeans to make good truck brakes...

My '02 Ford Escort still has the same brakes on it it had when I bought it in 2008 with 80K miles. Between my son, wife and myself we've put 130K miles on this set of pads/shoes. The previous owner told me he'd just replaced the front pads when i bought it but didn't say anything about the rear shoes so it's possible they're the originals with 210K miles. I had the front wheels off recently replacing the outer tie rods/ball joints and noticed they're down to about 1/8" thick so I'll replace them soon.

Different truck but my brother replaced the OE brakes on his Tundra at 150k and he tows with it. It's his work truck and his normal trailer isn't anywhere the size of the OP's but he will pull equipment (i.e. Bobcats, etc) on occasion. He even said they really didn't need replaced yet.

But you are towing in pancake flat Florida... Easy peasy...

Seriously... That is quite impressive. Like the other guys said you drive very smooth and smart. That certainly has to be helpful.

Ssssqqqqqquuuuuueeeeeaaaaaaallllllllll :(
I hate to say it, but with the results you got from the factory parts, why didn't you go OE?
Maybe there was another reason?

Just curious, as I recently did a front brake service on an F-150, using OE parts. Man they fit nice!
My friend @The Critic was able to help with the cost. 100% satisfied.

Towing? IF your brake controller is set correctly it shouldn't affect the truck brakes much.

Curious does Ford use ceramic or semi-metallic as OE? I know our Chevy has at least 50% left at 84k but I'm chucking the ceramic's next week for semi-metallics after the last trip through the mountains.

It's not uncommon for larger vehicles (SUVs, trucks, etc) to use semi-metallic while 'cars' have largely moved to ceramic, it seems.
