They use F-250s for Commercial vehicle, weight and licensing enforcement. I don't think I've ever seen a passenger car pulled over by one. In fact, the only time I ever see them is when they have a semi pulled over

You gotta' be good to be sneaky in an F-250.

We have one that patrols the NW freeway and usually sets up just over a hill and stands between the door and the cab on the door sill (fairly stupid with the semi traffic that goes through that area) and shoots traffic coming towards him. He has a fairly steady stream of "customers"...

I have been pulled over by one but it was the BP.

Seems like a no brainer for ford to offer this. There are certainly enough of them that go into use for law enforcement, etc...

Not every law enforcement vehicle has to be a jack of all trades - there are uses for a pickup...

I thought border patrol were not used to enforce traffic laws. Trafficking laws, of course. When I see BP I don't worry about my speed.

Police catch a lot of stuff by pulling over for minor violations. Im not surprised they would do it.
Last I heard, the BP got a bunch of Raptors. Stripped down ones mind you, but all the functional bits were intact.
They have a truck here for towing the horse trailer they use for the posse.
