F-150 Ecoboost Burnout

Not exactly hard to do a burn-out in a freakin' truck - the back end is as light as heck!

My buddy could do burn-outs all day in his 1988 V-6 S-10 with like 300k on the engine...in fact, that's what did in the engine.

Not exactly 'impressive'........

I think in auto production cycles, the fall of the previous year is when they start making next-years models - so, fall 2010 IS 'early 2011' in the world of vehicle production.....

This is likely a pre production truck, a mule to be beat on and reveal what it can. There are 2012 Focus' running around on the streets right now....way ahead of actual production....nothing new.

Ha ha, no kidding! You're welcome.

A burnout in any vehicle simply indicates a loss of traction which is never good. Unless your a poser who thinks it's cool.

and not a slight to the OP, merely an observation of the video.

Not sure how heavy the Ecoboost is; but a 2wd Supercrew w/ the 5.4 is 5,295 pounds.

That's quite impressive then, and definitely shows what technology has done in the last decade or so. My Jeep has a basically unmodified Dodge 5.9 from a pickup in it, and takes the same 6.8 seconds 0-60, despite being 1000 pounds lighter. That ecoboost definitely has some guts!
