I was offered an extended too warranty on my impact gun (Big 1" cordless Milwaukee)
Started to read exceptions:

There is about 10 different ways this warranty can get denied and I will be left holding the bag? Am I wrong?

1. They wouldn't offer an extended warranty if it wasn't profitable for them. They're not doing it for your benefit.
2. If ever you can self-insure, do it. This is one instance where you could absorb the loss in the unfortunante event your impact gun would take a dump out of warranty.
3. I'm not familiar with the company's reputation, but yes, there is potential to deny a claim resulting in endless frustration on your part.

Sheesh, that is pretty limited.

Anecdotally, I have warranted 3 items with Milwaukee in the past year. Their online process was best in class. All of my submissions were successful, but none were above $200 retail items.

I would perform some google searches about their extended warranty and see if you get any hits.

In my experience the exclusions are usually there to use on those that abuse the warranty...when there is clearly negligence, abuse or other involved...or simply too many claims in a short amount of time. Then they throw that up to end it.

Milwaukee impacts have what.. 3 years of warranty? How much additional were you wanting?

Agree with others, I think skip it.

It seems they can leave you holding the bag for almost any reason, I wouldn't give them 2c for that piece of paper, toilet paper is cheaper and about the same worth IMO.
Is that the gun that has less power than a reg 1/2" in reverse.

Extended warranties have big margins for a reason. Either people forget they have them, claims get denied easily, or the warranty is so expensive you could just buy another product. There are few things I would buy an extended warranty for.

I’ve got a fair amount of Milwaukee but haven’t had to warranty anything, I haven’t used them that hard. I have a ton of Kobalt xtr and some of their regular brushless tools, including my most used tool now days, my tire inflator. At 4 yrs and 2 months the inflator stopped putting out airflow. I called the 800# and within 10 minutes had an RA code to walk into Lowe’s and they gave me a new one. 1st time I’ve had to use their 5yr warranty and couldn’t have been more impressed. I can put my xtr impact against mys sons m18 fuel and it’s within a fraction of a second slower, but given how easy the warranty just was, I couldn’t imagine not using Kobalt if I had to make a living with my tools. This may seem like a big “Kobalt” plug, and it kind of is.
