Extended Mileage Oil

I have an 03 Explorer with 98K. It uses no oil between changes.
Should I change to an extended mileage oil. I currently use
PP at 5K intervals.

Please share your thoughts with me. Thank you

How long are you trying to run your oil?

No need to change anything, continue with PP at 5k changes.

You are now running an oil that via posted used oil analysis does 10,000 mile with ease. You may have been dumping good oil. How many miles do you drive per year?

Stay with the 5k. It's worked well so far. Mobil 1 Extended Performance seems more durable than PP in my use.

I agree with the 8k on PP

If you got a slugger sure. But 5k on PP is low. Drag it out a while and use a good filter or swap out filters in the middle of it. Good job though, PP is a fine choice!!!

PP is really good.
With no issues to correct or attenuate, I'd continue using it.
And going a bit longer than 5K with that oil is probably a good idea. If it seems scary, then just go 6k.
