Well thanks for all the high and mighty posts of how it would be in you households. Or how it takes respect to remember to have a car serviced. That really helps a lot with a filter choice.
If she was driving at 16, and/or living with me I certainly would have had the time to teach her proper car maintenance on top of a lot of other things. As well as how to do it herself. Between my job, her job and school I don't see her as much, so I haven't even had it cross my mind to spend every minute we have discussing car maintenance.
I must not have any respect either, I still forget things on my cars once in a while. My truck is 1000 miles over due for a transmission flush, better call the police, have it sent to a more responsible family or write a post about how my irresponsibility will kill it or what ever you like.
I didn't even realize it until I was recording my mileage after doing an oil change on my car. I have been Pretty busy lately and have a lot on my mind. Kids going to school and working are pretty busy and have a lot on their minds too.
You see there is no free school here. She had to work her [censored] of to get just a partial scholarship and work a job while in high school to save up enough to further her own education. And she still may end up having to get a student loan.
But I guess if she forgets to do an oil change that still makes her irresponsible and privileged.
She wants to buy her own car too. I made a deal with her to borrow my car and save her money for the 2 years she is out of state. Since she may not find a job there right away, That will give her more money for an emergency or school. Then when she comes home and finds a job she will likely be able to pay cash for a car and avoid having a loan.
I bought my first car myself with my own money. Because it was my car and I did what I wanted with it. I abused that car to no end and never took care of it. I say that because her buying a car herself, does not mean she will automatically take care of it.
I am truly happy for those of you that have perfect lives and families and everything works out like it should.
Me and my family aren't there yet, so ween need to keep trying to get there.
By the way I am likely going to use the Fram Ultra. It seems to be the best value.
