How long do you planning on owning your family SUV?
If you intend to haul people in the 3rd row, it's kinda small, around highlander and Pilot small. And if it's in the summer, no AC vents in the back can be a killer, but not if you hate them.

I plan on owning it maybe 10 or 15 years maybe. I have a family of four so probably won’t be using the third row too often

I saw that episode but all of that nitpicking was nonsense and other boobers that never had an original thought ran with it. As usual.
Not in the market for an Exploder
and Ford as well as others will zing you from time to time. But i grow tired of the serial nonsense. Wow two raised panel gaps have ticked off the world. Sort of silly.
Go check out the Buick enclave or Chevy traverse both restyled this year I own both a 2018 n 2020 zero issues and both have the most room in there class. Roomy third row is important you will be doing the pick up my friends for many years kid car pool no escaping that
Yeah I wouldn’t mind taking the Chevy traverse for a ride. I don’t believe they have a gray color though but white with black rims looks OK
Telluride for me. Warranty and cost of ownership make that one a no-brainer. Not to mention that fact that Id have a lot more confidence in a Korean car than I would an American one.
Having owned various vehicles which have included 6 Kia and Hyundai and several Fords I vote Telluride. I spent more money on my F-150 for repairs than the total repairs for all my Korean cars. I really wish American Ford had done better but that is just the way it has panned out for me.
Bought a 21 Explorer XLT in May. 11,000 miles as of today. Zero issues. Delivers 27+ mpg loaded up with 4 people. No complaints with power and the 10 speed seems dialed in well to the engine. Extremely competent on snow and ice (we use winter tires).
Figured instead of a bunch of comments from folks who don't own one, some from an owner would be nice. Was the launch botched in 2020? Yes. Seems like the 21+ owners are much more satisfied.... not that you'd ever know from the recycled reviews...

Savagegeese is well made, entertaining detailed and sometimes.. odd. For example on the Lexus GX460 they were on about how it was "old-school" and this would make it "attractive to many".. however on the Nissan Armada which is same (actually slightly younger even when including the global patrol platform) design, same price for more space , more engine, etc.. they kept talking how it was "old", yet the engine was more modern than the GX, the transmission also had more gear, also rock solid old-school vehicle.. yet for the Armada that was "old" but when anointed with a Lexus badge it suddenly became "old-school for the zombie apocalypse" or the like. etc etc etc.
Every single positive argument could have been used on the Armada, yet it wasnt simply due to the badge.
If anything the Aramda is the y62 global Patrol platform and as such just about unbreakable also.

Sorry i havent racked up the miles enough ti satisfy you. I have zero concerns or worries. (Fwiw, explorer 1 sold with 178k on the clock. At last check was at 240k in Arizona. 2nd one I sold with 163k on the clock, still on the road in Illinois)
Lots of generic comments and no specifics....
Same comments I got when I bought my 2016 F150 with the 2.7. Still smile every day driving that one too...
Obviously these examples are ancient and have very little in common with the new Explorer. As stated-statistics shows the NEW REDESIGNED Explorer reliability is very poor.
