Wife and I decided on a Kia Telluride for our 3rd row grand-kid hauler. EX X-Line (basically a blacked out appearance package) with Wolf Gray paint. Picked it up Wednesday. The wife wanted the blacked out look with a sunroof and I wanted a tow package. Now the fun begins in getting all the necessary accessories for it. Already ordered all weather floor mats and a set of 18" wheels with snow tires and those are going to be installed next Friday at Discount Tire. The stock wheels are 20" with MIchelin Primacy all seasons and I know for a fact those will not tolerate Minnesota winters. Also going to install front and rear dashcams this weekend. So sadly I'm going to have to sell my beloved Rav4 (coworker has been bugging me about buying it for a year now) and I'm getting her Equinox.

I love that gray, it goes really well with the black rims and black sections in the tail lights. So did you get an insane msrp discount on it? Are you aware that the redesigned telluride is already being reviewed hands on and is going to be released very soon.

Real pretty suv! Much of luck with it

smart move on the wheels and tires! I did the exact same thing on wife's new Pathfinder last year. Factory 20's with what seem like racing slicks were swapped for 18's and Blizzaks for Winter. Rides a whole lot better with the Winter tires.

A few discounts, but nothing crazy. For some reason towing packages are rare for the EX X-Line in Wolf Gray in the Twin Cities; I didn't want black and the wife hates white. We put about 40% down and took advantage of the 0.9% financing Kia was offering. We'll have it paid off in under 4 years.

Yeah, I'm still trying to explain to the missus why smaller rims and snow tires are much better than the OEM setup. 'But it has AWD!!! We don't need snow tires...' Yeah right.

If you like the Rav4 so much why not sell the Equinox?
One of the main reasons is that the Equinox gets much better gas mileage than the Rav. On a good day I could probably average about 25-26mpg on a tank while the Equinox I could easily get around 34mpg. My work commute is 70 miles round trip so those savings will add up after a while. The Chevy is a lot quieter on the highway and my elderly father (who I take to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, etc) has an easier time getting in and out the of Equinox. I would have loved to keep the Rav4 as a spare but it doesn't make much sense financially to have 4 cars plus I don't have any place to store it. The old Nissan takes up the other stall in the cabin garage and our pole barn has the pontoon, fishing boat, ATV, jet ski, mowers, etc.
