Newbie here....

I would like to use an oversize Puralator Pure One on my 2004 Explorer, as I would like excellent filtration linked with great flow. How do I know which filter to use? I use their standard size now, but don't see a listing for oversize.

Thanks in advance.

Can we assume that all Explorers are created equal. That is, without knowing Explorers ...do they subscribe to the modular filter selection? The FL820S?? There is one oversized filter that works for this thread.

I agree.
On my Explorer I use the stock size Wix 51372 or a Napa Gold 1372 and it's big enough.
Now if you were talking about my Toyota Corolla's 1.8L's tiny filter...

Oversized but filters (Nominal rating of 16) much better than the 51087 (Nominal 24). Only drawback is that it doesn't have an ADBV (99% sure of this).

Hope this helps.
