With the constant posting of gas prices, implying they are too high, I would've assumed you'd want to park the Jeep, and walk inside, instead of sitting in line getting zero MPG.
Never more than 5-6 cars in line at chic fila here
Awful. That's the place where the lady got bent because I parked in the ev parking spot instead of walking all the way across the parking lot.How is Carnes Mariscos next door? Have you ever been there?

My wife has questionable taste( she married me) and in- n- out is her favorite.
I'm not getting in the drive-thru line with any more than three cars in it. I'll park and go in.
Due to the design of the lot you still have to wait in the line just to get to a parking spot. Then you can't leave as the line blocks you from backing out as well as getting to the exit.

In-N-Out is opening the first Portland, OR metro store soon. The construction is almost complete, before they open they have to send the city a traffic analysis and the city must approve it before they open. I would think doing a traffic analysis before to start building the restaurant would be a good idea, yes?

While Chick-fil-A can have long lines, it cannot hold a candle to In-N-Out.
When they opened their first one in Aurora, CO, the wait line was 16 hours. 16hrs! You could drive to Salt Lake City, eat a burger, see the city, and drive back in that time.
And people still wait 1hrs+.
Being so uninvolved with your nutrition that you....
Get into a dedicated traffic lane from which there are frequently no exits........
Doing so during high-demand hours so the waits are guaranteed to be long.....
Regularly eating poison food...
Making lots of paper and plastic garbage....
Idling your vehicle....
The psychological angle of 'people with disorders eating badly in private' will be skipped here....because I don't need anyone reminding me I'm not a shrink.
It's a bad thing to do. It's worse when it becomes routine.
ps Two days ago when I went to BK for a promotional Whopper ($3.99), it was plainly evident that any car order was prioritized. I watched them halt repeatedly and begin filling a window order. I wasn't surprised.
ANECDOTAL PROOF:
On a bench were 3 Asian ladies who ordered up 3 large bags of food. They too watched the flood of food on the ready tray being loaded into their bags only to be interrupted and see the food avalanche shifted into smaller bags and sent out the window.

It was a poor showing to say the least.
Another example of a business model not working well. We're not 10 years old anymore.....and they weren't doing anyone any favors with their 15 cent hamburgers in the first place.
Time to grow up and learn how to make a sandwich.
If nothing else, make statements with your purchase decisions.

I guess I'm a little too employed to wait in line for 16 hours for a hamburger.
And yes drive-through orders do get priority, my kids worked fast food in high school and would say that the time the car pulled up and ordered, to the time the order was fulfilled, is monitored and has to be below a set limit, or... something gets affected, pay raises or whatever, I dont remember. Walk-in or dine-in orders werent monitored for time.
Kings Island officially opens their season tomorrow, but today there is an unadvertised, season passholders sneak peek and they open today at noon. There were cars lined up yesterday evening at a little after 6:00 pm at the parking lot gate. So they are going to be waiting 17 hours to get in when the parking lot opens at 11:00 today. I dont get it.
I have a meeting today at noon, then I'm off for the week. Going to head to my daughters to mow her lawn, then I'm heading up to the park to say hi to a friend who tends bar at one of the park's restaurants, and maybe have a beer or two. Know how long I'll be waiting to get into the parking lot around 3:00? Zero minutes.... I'll be able to pull right in. But I guess I'll miss out on the fun-filled 17 hours I didnt get to enjoy sitting in the car waiting since 6:00 pm last night if I were one of these dorks. Dang.

*LOL*My wife just loves it when I do that.I do it to avoid other nearby vehicles, or shall I say people.
I used to drive her nuts trying to find a close "safe" place. She is good with walking and now we both trying to stay active in ever facet of our lives (for health) could care less about getting up close with the crazies.
Yeah, I should have mentioned that. I try like heck to find a parking space that only has one side where someone could ding my vehicles. Its worked for decades now staying away from others.
The perfect spaces are when there is a space with no parking spaces on one side, meaning trees or bushes and then you can get right up close to the curb leaving a large gap between your space and the one next to you.

I always say to the driver when they park next to me, as I'm exiting my vehicle. "I hope the rust from your car won't spread to mine", then they look at me and my rough looking car and think
I see long lines for fast food places (especially dunkin) around here all the time. Most of these places have empty parking lots- my coworker and I sometimes stop for an iced coffee during lunch, and we can walk in, order, and be back in the car in the time it takes 2 or 3 cars (out of a line of 10+) to move through the drive-through.
I rarely.. and I mean rarely do drive throughs. Drives my wife crazy. By the time I idle in line... waste gas .. I'd rather just park and walk in.
