It's the same as Pennzoil synchromesh and GM synchromesh, they are dino, unless you are talking about the GM/Delco synchromesh friction modified fluid, that is full synthetic.

Didn't know you could get a semi synth MTF from them and Google isn't showing really anything on it...

Whats the P/N?

i couldnt find it on the napa site but this is what it is .

The semi synth stuff sounds like the Pennzoil synchromesh variety.
If it was full synth, it would say so.
It is still a very good fluid.

Yes, it is according to the tech at SOPUS.

Penn synch is dino.
This does not mean it is lousy - it is very good.

Right, just because it has a conventional base oil doesn't mean it's bad.

It has a very good additive package and has been subbbed for many an ATF application with good results, since it is only 2 cSt above ATF viswcosity.

The Delco synchomesh is a Blend as it contains a GroupV component called Alkyl Benzene which does really well for cold weather shifting.

It IS still made by SOPUS though, correct?? (Or if not them, then who, and are ALL of the Delco branded synchromesh fluids made by them exclusively?)

I don't know who blends the oils for them now but Texaco used to be the contracted blender many years ago.

I would not be suprized if it is now blended by PetroCanada.

I'm pretty sure the dino formula of their Synchromesh is made by the same people who make Pennnzoil Synchromesh, because they are reportedly identical.

That's probably why my car shifts like butter when cold now that I changed the fluid to delco synchromesh friction modified.

Oh yeah, and my bottle also said "semi-synthetic" on their top of the line MTF, must be a reformulation along with a new part number and bottle color.
