Now I don't know what it will cost me to replace my front brakes on my Lincoln MKZ but I know it will not cost even close to that!
Are all Europen cars so much more to fix or is it just the dealers that charge so much?
Just remember her full service $145 "oil change" will prob only be every 15k miles, it appears yours will be every 7.5k so you need to double your # to compare accurately. Assuming she gets one last free one right at 36k even she will end up paying $618 for oil changes to 100k miles vs your $558 (@ $45 per 7.5k miles) and she will be at the dealer 6 less routine visits than you (~12 for the Lincoln and ~6 for the BMW).
Also would like to just point out the MKZ is not much more than a gussied up Ford Fusion, so you are driving a car whose platform can be purchased for low 20's brand new in Fusion SE guise. The 5 was engineered and built as a sport luxury sedan, your MKZ started out life as an appeal to the masses basic family sedan.
