Previous post was posted unexpectedly, not done, sorry. Here is another try.

Keep in mind the superflo costs considerable more money.

Esso Superflo 5-30 syn XD3 0-30 syn Esso
Viscosity @100 C 10.4 12.1
Viscosity @ 40 C 58.2 71
TBN 8.6 12.2
Pour point -39 -48
Flash point 228 226

I have seen post in numerous forums stating diesel/gasoline oil is better than gasoline oils. Seems the diesel oils have better additive packages and prices due to bulk buyers, specs above show great value for a $2.00 per litre less syn oil in XD3, XD3 syn is $4.19 for 0-40 (may be less for 0-30), Superflo syn 5-30 is 5.85 litre.

If I can use this 0-30 XD3 year round in my Nissan then I am sold. This XD3 seems like a superior oil even to Esso's own alternatives. The TBN in 30% higher, the pour point is -9 degrees better. I dont know what all these specs really mean but from what I read in posts this XD3 is good stuff.

Rick posts in here that this XD3 is now at Wally World.

I asked earlier if a 0-40 could be used in my Nissan, it is too thick, can this 0-30 XD3 be used in my Nissan requiring 5-30 year round? It does get 35 C or 100 F here in summer. I am using the 0-40 year round in my diesel and hopefully the 0-30 in my Nissan if I can.
thanks,
Cyprs

Which dealer did you get the stuff at? I can't pick any up from a distributor directly so I will be paying an inflated price of $5/litre. I think this is still a good price for a quality synthetic.
