EPS light on 1-2 times a week

If turning the steering wheel while starting solves the issue, I can almost guarantee there's an issue with the steering wheel position sensor. Perhaps it's lost it's calibration. A mechanic with the proper OE level scan tool should be able to perform this procedure.

If the light is on, there's a code somewhere.
 
I made a video showing the EPS light flashing after following the procedure the Daihatsu manual suggests:














I think I can distiguise 3 error codes, let me know what you guys see

My daughter has a 1.3 manual Sirion, they are a great little car, and an impression load capacity with the rear seats folded down.

Usually an EPS fault is in the unit itself, and just replaced.

The unit itself meaning ? The computer the EPS ECU correct ? and not the motor
