Same here, by the time I do an oil change, it will be black in the drain pain/jug but the thin film on the stick or on my hand is dark brown and still somewhat translucent. Customers vehicles that had black oil on the stick with the odd tiny chunk of sludge on the stick is what turned me off of extended oil changed.

I don't think anyone should be going 10k without the perfect circumstances like mostly long highway drives, synthetic oil and no gdi or turbos.
