Engine flush?

I wanted to know which one is safe engine flush for my mom's 95 grand cherokee 4.0L 6cyl. I want buy it from pepboy or autozone or kragen. Which one do you recommendation.

I would go get auto-rx but the oil change is due coming this monday. I am switching dino to full syn Mobil 1 0w-40 for my mom's Grand Cherokee.

I am following TheTanSedan's method. He got excellent UOA lowest wear rate.

Why do you think it needs a flush?

If it does not need a flush, just about any of the flush products you can buy over-the-counter are safe.

If it really needs a flush, the concern is that all the harsh solvent products will just soften and loosen a big chunk of glop. Then, some time in the future, if this glop moves around and clogs the oil pickup...you're walking.

I just thought it would be better engine flush to rid the dino before switch to Full SYN Mobil 1 oil. Sound like you aren't recommend for that?

You need slow cleaning initially. You can use Neutra 131 or the RX. The Mobil 1 will clean slowly too but its life will be shortened if it has a lot to clean.
