Engine Flush with 8 quarts of oil

I have been present for many driveway engine flushes. ATF, rislone, MMO, diesel, kerosene, and I saw one idiot pour boiling water in the oil fill hole to "melt" sludge.

All of these cars survived without any drama. I'm not sure any of them worked but they didn't kill it either.

I've used auto rx several times on several vehicles. I used it on one one car with a slight tick in the valvetrain go away after using it. On the others I can't tell it did anything.

I would think that the lifter tick solved would be a result of cleaning with ARX. What were the ailments of the other several? Or did you use the product for prevention?

I personally have only used ATF, diesel, and auto rx.

All the others were not on my cars but the cars of friends.
