it was interesting how they evaluated not only how much dirt an oem (Nissan in this case) could hold, and the efficiency of the particles it stopped, Denso was better.. But air flow restriction and even HP the it could generate.

Why didn't @odie you post a link? Is that a problem around here lately?
 
Pretty wild goes to show you a test jig, roller dyno and real life usage all different results. what’s most restrictive on a test in a test jig made the most power on a roller dyno
 
I watched it the other day. Good video. One of his final takes being OEM aren't necessarily the best at filtering.
 
Nissan OEM suppliers are often tokyo roki, mahle (tennex) and denso bottom line all paper elements perform as equals in the real world.

The filter that came on my 21 and 24 were mahle made in Japan. I just ordered a couple of oems but am running a made in China carquest in my 21. All these filters are fantastic in pleat count and construction. Even the carquest.
