I have a 1950's capecod with central air and a window unit in the finished attic (office) it has knee walls and superheated roof air on 3 sides.
Also I am not particularly efficient. Doing hot water laundry, have electric hot water tank (hybrid), keep the central air on 70-73, and the window unit runs about 8-14 hours a day in the summer(compressor) and fan 24hr/day.
Also have electric stove, use a dishwasher with added heat/steam/sanitize settings all on.
And electric dryer. I also have to run 2 small fans 24/7 and a radon 60w fan.
Sometimes I run the furnace blower during certain weather conditions to help keep the house equalized (basement 58f, main floor 70f, upstairs 85f)
Energy usage report: Keep in mind its all a month behind june 16 is usage from 5/10 to 6/10
Next up project, figure out a way to plumb in an attic fan to suck out the air from my combo roof
combo roof is the front 66% of house and has a 3'x4.5' hole leading to the lower roof which covers the breezeway and attached garage all of which super heat the air.
