Energizer = Johnson Controls!

I have never been a fan of Energizer. I know they are supposed to keep "going and going" but they die on me faster than Duracell and other brands. The only brand that's worse is Rayovac and they have even seemed to get better in the past couple of years.

I just buy my batteries on sale - whatever brand they are. I got some AC Delco batteries from Menards, don't know who makes them, but I got about 200 of them for $16. I also am stocking up on some Kodak batteries on clearance at Runnings for $5/pack. 20 or 24 batteries depending on what kind. Again, I don't know who makes them. But I have enough at a cheap price that I can go through them and not care!

Some places can offer batteries for the same or about the same price as AAP. Paying full price, no, that doesn't make sense. But catching them on a sale (NAPA, even though they are exide are still pretty good priced right now) or even the Wal-Mart batteries at normal price aren't half bad.

bigblumer is talking about car battery, not the flashlight battery.

I like to buy battery from AAP with deep discount code, but we don't have AAP in West Coast. AAP doesn't ship battery and if they do then shipping cost will be too high.

Just this past saturday i picked up a Sams Club Group 78 Energizer battery for $92 after tax versus $100 after a $40 coupon for AAP. So i saved 8 bucks versus AAP.

I've also picked up name brand brake pads from rock auto cheaper shipped versus wearever silver's after coupon.

You really need to shop around and not take AAP stuff for granted.

Speaking of hunting for auto parts... I really like Rock Auto, and use them when I can, but I've found that buying some things off Amazon to be a better deal. I replaced the pads and rotors on the KIA this past fall. Amazon was a few dollars more expensive per item than Rock Auto, but Amazon had free shipping, which saved me quite a bit.

I checked AAP too (same JCI Battery), and with the codes, I still saved a little bit of cash. Plus, the Energizers have a 3 year full replacement, where the Autocraft just have a 2-year full replacement guarantee.
