well, here are a couple of thingies:

if msexplorer has it's way

i'm doing this on my mac, so i'm probably wrong somewhere. i don't believe that firefox itself has a setting for that.

go to control panel, internet something or other, then fish around in there.

if i'm right, send money. if i'm wrong, you can still send money.

Pablo, Firefox is the browser, Thunderbird is the email program. After T-Bird installs, set it as the default email program.

Another way around your issue, if you don't want to install T-Bird and have Yahoo messenger already installed, is just do set Yahoo as the default email program. Once set this way, Yahoo will spawn your default web browser (Firefox) to login to your Yahoo account. All without any extra email software on your computer.

If your talking about Thunderbird. Go with Options and it's the first check box: Use Thunderbird as default mail application.

Now it gets weird. I changed the settings...it doesn't come up anymore. But now this "phone tools" program starts....Fax and Answering machine thing....sheesh....

OK - I am not exactly sure why I never installed Thunderbird before.....turns out I seem to like it better than Outlook (imagine that).

I have had few issues that I needed to work through, but nothing major.

The main mistake I made was trying to use the Comcast mail system. Boy does THAT suck! Anyone use it? I mean it's probably great when traveling....but other than that it's just tickee tacky nasty, IMHO.
