HATE when that happens, been there before. SAME thing as when people have to stand up. Just stay seated and enjoy the show. It sucks to stand for 2 hours, just so you can see the performer!Saw Elton John In Kansas City along with Billy Joel. Not sure if it was a great concert, as the people sitting behind us thought they were better singers than Elton and Billy. Several stern looks did nothing to end the earsore. We asked security to help but they could not. They offered to move us. We accepted and ended up on the floor with card table seats. Beat nosebleed all to heck.
My favorite Elton albums are GBYBR and Honky Chateau. My favorite Billy Joel album is 52nd Street
“…… I'd never seen anything like that.
How sad for you.I did love and still do love his music from the 70s, but when his great "reveal" occurred my interest in him plummeted faster than a falling meteorite. Since then I've heard only what he sang at Diana's funeral. Never saw him perform live and I am glad of it. YMMV.
Another Elton John favorite of mine. His best piece of music imo:
That whole pipe organ (probably a Moog?) intro really freaked me out the first time I heard it!! Really haunting and beautiful at the same time. That's a song imo he never topped.Agreed. At the one show of his I attended, I'd told my wife beforehand I didn't much care what he played, but I really wanted to hear Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding. He opened with it, so that got me in a pretty good mood.
...and I never heard about her again. That really is ...sad.'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' with EJ and Kiki Dee.
