My favorite beauty from that era (early to mid 60's) was a young lady called Arlene Martel.

She played in loads of TV shows from that time period (Twilight Zone, Wild, Wild, West etc.). One of her most well known rolls was playing on Star Trek as a bride for Spock called T'pring. It's the episode where Spock and Kirk fight to the death.

In all my life, I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful woman than Arlene Martel.

She died a few months ago.

I had no idea until the obits today that Donna Douglas was a Loozyana native. She came from a small town near Baton Rouge, and died in BRV (or Zachary, nearby -- I've heard both versions). In the BR paper that now serves NO as a daily, she was quoted as saying that the only direction she received on how to play Elly May was to talk faster. Aside from that, she knew and understood the character from the git-go.

As for Arlene Martel, yes; she was in "Man from U.N.C.L.E." and in the famous "Outer Limits" episode "Demon with the Glass Hand" with Robert Culp. A very exotic-looking creature she was.

I well remember her as Jim's lawyer. She was pretty, yes, but beyond that she gave you a sense of reality -- not a super Hollywood glamor girl, but still lovely.

Same here for Barbara Eden as Jeannie in that harem getup, and I was just as hot for her as a brunette (if not more so) when playing her evil sister, as when she was a blondie.
